Writing articles is a method of free advertising which builds your credibility.

Credibility Magic: Growing Your Business With Articles

Writing articles is one of the best and most effective web site promotion - business strategies you can use. Website owners and ezine publishers are always on the lookout for new content. Having your articles with your link in many places on the net will help you reach a larger market, build your credibility as an expert and increase your websites rank in the search engines. AND it is free advertising for you! Your only cost is the time it takes to write your article(s) and submit them.

There are some things to remember:

1. Let your personality come thru. Write as if you're talking to your best friend.

2. Your article headline is as important as the headline for an ad. If the reader doesn't read your article chances are they won't read your resource box either. Grab the reader with your headline!

3. Write about a topic you know. For instance,I have a network marketing wellness business. I write about wellness, network marketing, personal development, health and working at home. The more your article reflects some aspect of the business you are in the greater the likelihood of drawing targeted traffic with it.

4. Educate don't sell - Your article should NEVER be a glorified ad. It should be a serious attempt to educate the reader.

5. It's the quality of the article not how long it is that is important. Aim for 300-600 words. Format it correctly! Publishers will ignore your article rather than take the time to format it. You can easily find a free formatter by searching on google for "free formatter".

6. Resource Box: At the end of every article there is a resource box. It should contain your name, a succinct description of what you do, your website link or email addy and a call to action. Take a look at my resource box at the end of this article.

7. Submit your article to multiple article directories and article announcement lists. Go to google and google "article directories" or "article announcement" and you will find many more. Also you may submit your article(s) to individual ezine publishers. Be sure to check first to see if the publisher accepts submissions and what their formatting requirements are.

REMEMBER the more consistently you submit articles the more assured you can be to get a benefit from them. Also, poorly written articles with bad grammar and/or spelling mistakes will kill your credibility rather than build it.
