Many distributors even these days leave a lot of the responsibility of their training to the shoulders of the company and never bother to go any further into their MLM education. That attitude of course hurts their chances for success due to two factors.

First, the company's training is of a different era that may worked well at that time, but it is irrelevant in this new century and do more harm than good. I am talking primarily about offline prospecting to your warm market and every new acquaintance you make for that purpose. That's a sure way to failure these days in an era where the average individual is bombarded with thousands of advertising messages every day, and through repeated exposure he developed resistance to any sales pitch.

The last thing he wants is someone he knows, or met recently, to turn into a salesman in front of him and start trying to close him while he is off-guard. A sure way to alienate him and start avoiding you in the future in order to protect himself and the few moments of relaxation, peace, and tranquility he can get away from advertising messages.

Second, almost none give you any network marketing training on online prospecting. And when they do give is very limited covering

only the basic things. It's not their fault since the Internet evolves very fast and they can't keep up with all the new developments in order to offer proper education on online MLM promotion to their distributors. And of course it's a pity since the world wide web is a great medium for multi level marketing recruiting.

As you understand it is a big mistake to rely completely on your network marketing company in order to learn how to build your home based business and make money from it. When you work from home trying to build a residual income and grow a big downline your biggest investment should be your own education. You have to learn from other sources what they cannot teach you in the multilevel marketing program you participate.

Your sponsor and his team in you MLM opportunity can be a great source of training at the beginning and more advanced levels but you should not rely completely on them. You should always try to find new things and techniques that you could implement into your business that could make a great difference and move it to the next level.
