View all articles by Chris KosmanIn multilevel marketing there are some things that can really hurt if not destroy completely your home business and your chances to succeed. Unfortunately many new members in network marketing opportunities are making the following mistakes, some even on a consistent basis without ever taking notice that such behavior won't lead them anywhere.
The following three mistakes are in a certain degree responsible for the big failure rate of the industry and someone must avoid them if he really wants to succeed.
1. Join More than one Opportunity
There are many out there preaching diversification and multiple streams of income as the sure and secure way for someone to go. They stress the importance of participating in more than one MLM opportunities and work them simultaneously. Unfortunately that tactic can hardly work for an experienced marketer with many years on the game, let alone for a complete newb that is starting out. For the newcomer it is a recipe for disaster as he spreads himself thin to many opportunities and ends up working seriously none.
2. Don't Stay Long Enough With One Company
Many have a get quick rich mentality due to misinformation and a lot of hype that circulates on the Internet. Under that impression if they don't succeed soon enough with their multi level marketing opportunity they quit and move to the next one as they believe the problem lies with the company itself. The truth is that network marketing is a business and it requires to invest time, effort, and sometimes capital to get it rolling. In the beginning it's a slow and hard procedure but after some years it takes life of it's own and starts expanding at a very fast pace. It's sad that many quit too soon and never experience that phase.
3. Don't Listen to your Sponsor
New distributors many times try to do their own thing and don't pay much attention to the advice of their sponsor. While it is a good sign to have plans and experiment, if you don't control it it can backfire to you. Your sponsor has been in your position and made the same mistakes you are about to do so he is talking from experience. To not listen to him and use his advice and recommendations is not a wise strategy as he has many to offer to you.
Tricks, Tips, and training that can help you succeed in MLM regardless of the network marketing company or opportunity you join.
